I would like to write about the film I made with my school. The film "Η Χαραυγή της Λευτεριάς" is about the Ιndependence of Kalamata ιν 1821, March 23. It is an reat historical event that defined the history of Greece. Watch it!!!

In this film the Second and the Fifth Primary School of Kalamata worked together.

A FAMOUS PLACE IN GREECE

 A FAMOUS PLACE IN  ATHENS IS THE ACROPOLIS!!! IT IS IN THE CENTER OF ATHENS. THERE ARE MANY ANCIENT STATUES AND THE PARTHENON ON IT. I THINK IT IS INTERESTING BECAUSE  THERE ARE MANY ANCIENT THINGS BUILDINGS AND STATUES. I RECOMMEND IT BECAUSE FROM THERE YOU CAN SEE THE WHOLE ATHENS AND IT'S AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEVER  FORGET!!!!!!

Ways to keep fit

Can you think of a child who never exersises or never plays with his friends? It is in the nature of the child to move and play all the time with their friends .

 The benefits of a healthy diet which is very rich in Vitamins and minerals and low in fat are widely known . However ,  we must all eat healthy foods and exersise a lot because if we do not exersise we will rut on weight all the time .

 I prefer to eat very healthy foods such as a salad,vegetables, apples and ingeneral fruiit . It is very difficult to start a diet but later it is easy if you eating heall thy foods . 

 Eating is a very important part of our lives . However, we all need to develop a healthy relationship with food and resist the temptation to eat for comfort .

My name is Alex and I am from Kalamata. In kalamata I know an amazing kid who is my friend. His name is Nick. This kid likes animals. But his favourite animals are birds. He can even feed wild birds!!

MY SCHOOL GARDEN

In my school we have made a team.
After school every Sunday  we plant flowers and vegetables .
The teacher waters them every day.
Some weeks later, the school garden was full of vegetation.
There were a lot of plants and vegetables which we cooked.

A SAFARI IN AFRICA

Hi Scott,

  Thanks for your e-mail . I'm writing about my holidays in Africa. I have been here for ten days with my family! I've taken part in lots of unusual activities. Let me tell you about the most important activities.

  The first one was the safari. We went in four groups by jeep and a safari guide in Shavana. I saw wild animals, giraffes, zebras, elephants and tigers. That was a great experience for me.

   Another activity that I've enjoyed really is the race with camels. We went with my group in a traditional village. We had tropical foods and drinks and took part in the race with camels. I took the first prize!

  The highlight of the day was the traditional music night. We danced and sang with all the villagers.

  It's been so far a wonderful holiday. Shall I send you some photos of all my activities?

A TRIP TO THE TAYGETOS MOUNTAIN

Last Sunday, I went to the Taygetos Mountain. The road was good at the beginning, later we took a 4x4 car because the road was sandy. My cousin has got a small house there. When we arrived we played and in the evening we all went to bed exhausted. The next day we got up really late, had a good breakfast and returned home. I liked this experience and I think I will do it again!!!

The Akropolis

            The Parthenon is the eyes of the past . It is one massive  building in the center of Athens. It is on top of a rock. People visit it because it is two and a half thousand years old.
            Near the Parthenon is the museum of the Akropolis. It has got thousands of statues.Under the museum there is the city of Athens. There are glass floors in the museum and you can see a lot of things underground. On the fifth floor there is glass all around and you get scared. In the first  floor there is a small cinema where you can get informed about the history of the Parthenon.
It's really great. I think we must all visit it.

Zakynthos

     The island of Zakynthos is one of the most famous in our country. It is in the west parts of Greece.
You can see a lot of  interesting places, the most famous of which is the beach Navagio that means   Shipwreck.You can also see the caretta-caretta sea turtle.
There are great hotels too.They have special  pools for children. There is also an island which you can visit by boat, Marathonisi. It is a very nice day trip. There is also a spectacular sea park. It is the best  place for holidays for children.
       I recommend a holiday in Zakynthos because it is wonderful place.

Έρευνα: Εξωσχολικές δραστηριότητες στο ELC

Μια μέρα στην θάλασσα

Ξύπνησα  πολύ  νωρίς. Σκεφτόμουν τι να κάνω.
-Μπορώ  να πάω στο πάρκο για να παίξω μπάλα;
-Όχι, Στέφανε κάνει πολλή ζέστη, απάντησε η μαμά.
-Ξέρω,θα πάμε οικογενειακώς για μπάνιο.
-Καλή ιδέα, Στέφανε, ας πάμε!
Ετοιμάστηκα γρήγορα και μπήκα στο αυτοκίνητο. Όταν φτάσαμε, απευθείας μπήκα στην θάλασσα.Το νερό ήταν πολύ ζεστό.Στην θάλασσα ήμουν 7 ώρες.Έπαιξα άλλες 4 ώρες.΄Οταν πήγαμε σπίτι έπεσα για ύπνο από την κούραση.          

 

In Serbia

                                 
 I am half  Greek  and half Serbian. I go every  year  to Serbia with my mother. In the city where I go lives my grandmother, my sister and my uncle. The city's name is Kragujevac. It has got about 300.000 citizens.That city was the old capital city, now it is the fifth biggest city in Serbia. The life is very good there. It is a very lovely city.

You must visit this city!!!

Carnival Crazy in Kalamata !!!

How are you ? I'm writing because I have some free time.

We're going to have a carnival party. My mother is making the costumes. We are going to wear hooligans costumes. It's going to be fantastic. 

Why don't you come over to my house this weekend so that I can show you my costume? You can have lunch with us.

recycling bins.I think it would he a good idea if you had recycling bins so that you could recycle glass,
paper, plastic, clothes and  shoes. In this way we can help keep the enviroment clean.

USE RECYCLING BINS

How are you? Thanks for your last email .Your new shop looks great, but I cannot believe you don’t have recycling bins in your neighbourhood. They’re very important for the environment.

If I were you, I would send emails to everyone in the  neighbourhood  to solve this problem. Another good idea is to start a new group in your neighborhood. You can have a meeting and talk about problems in the environment.

If you recycled, you would save the environment. We could help the environment, if we saved energy. If I were you I would recycle paper, glass, cans and clothes . If you recycled  all your rubbish, your  neigbourhood would be clean .
